A friend of mine is planning a trip from Penryn (Cornwall) to Staffordshire on May 4th - May 6th (Fri-Sun). He is travelling to Blythe Bridge on the Friday, and returning from either Uttoxeter or Stoke on Sunday late afternoon/evening. (He is prepared to stop in London overnight if need be)
I think the easiest/cheapest option would be to go via London and get two Advance tickets in each direction (Bookings open for Virgin tomorrow/early Tuesday for that weekend, not sure on FGW), ensuring he allows the minimum connection time Paddington-Euston.
Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions? Price is more important than speed, although he'd rather not be on LM London - Stoke
