There are reports of a serious crash of a ČD Pendolino near Bohumin in Moravia.
The Pendolino appears to have struck a locomotive soon after departure from Bohumin to Prague.
Pictures show a virtually destroyed front end to the Pendolino.
Sadly the driver was killed and there are several injuries.
The reporting calls the train a high-speed bullet train, but of course it is limited to 160km/h on the routes it operates.
Bohumin is a major railway operating node, and is where locomotive changes on cross-border trains to/from Poland occur.
