Hi everyone, normally i don't do write posts like this however i'm really nervous and confused.
On the 1st i was running late for the SWR train from st denys to southampton airport parkway and i didn't get a ticket (completly my fault i know) and the revenue protection officers issued me with a penalty fare for £50 + the price of the ticket (£3.60). They didn't mention anything about prosecution or anything like that and printed out and gave me a receipt and just said i have 21 days to pay or appeal. I paid the fine about 20 mins afterwards but i'm just worried sick as i gave them an incorrect address as i'm a bloody moron but correct name and dob. I did file an appeal as well but since i've paid it in full and that i want this to be over and done with are they going to chase after me for that offence of wrong details even though i have paid the full fine? I don't know if i'm going to get into deeper trouble as i won't know if any letters have arrived, I'm just hoping that it is left at that and i have now learned my lesson. Sorry about this it's just putting me on edge, thanks :frown:

Welcome to the forum!

If you have paid the penalty fare, that should be the end of the matter.

The one thing to be careful about is that you now need to make sure that you always pay the right fare. Not only don't you want to worry in the way that you have been just now, but if you are caught again, it's less likely that you will get another penalty fare: next time the railway might well take you to court.
