Hi, recently me and some friends travelled without a ticket, when we arrived at our destination, we were asked if we had tickets to which we replied no. We all paid the penalty fare and no details were taken. Will any further action be taken by the train company? Such as prosecution?

As the others have said no. But if you make a habit of it you may find that they do prosecute, so don't make the mistake of thinking it is cheaper to pay the odd twenty quid rather than the correct fare all of the time!

A penalty fare is for an honest mistake, so if you merely made a mistake fair enough, however if it was otherwise you got lucky!
