Today the tour arrived at Carmarthen and instead of 6024 King Edward detaching from the train and moving to a location outside the station for coal and water, it stayed on the train and received just water from a fire truck parked on the road near platform 1. Every steam locomotive I've seen here always goes for coal and water. Odd that it was not required on this occasion. There was available time because it came in about 11.30 and departed 12.34.

Yes, on the steam tours site, in the timings it showed Llangennech as being a water stop. Must've had coal too then. she didn't need it at Carmarthen mind, the tender was full, and big lumps too. The firemen were up on top with pick axes breaking the pieces up!

Water stops at Port Talbot & Magor also i believe :)

after the stop at Port Talbot it headed into Margam to detach 66 192, which i found strange because it followed 6024 straight after when i was at Stormy.
