Peak Bus?

I've seen a YouTuber has bought two Dennis Dart buses from Stagecoach Yorkshire (AndMoreCentral) and has painted these in what looks to be a rather fetcvhing new livery and looks to have created the company Peak Bus - although I can't find anything online about the company.

Any idea what the buses/company is going to be doing, maybe rail replacement or event work?

It’s a preserved bus that needed a repaint apparently and he’s currently loaned it to Yorkshire buses for use on their services.

He posted a video last Friday (9th January) explaining the plan. The buses are for spot-hire to other companies (hence one being on loan to Yorkshire Buses) and also to run shuttle services at enthusiast's events; mainly the ones he organises, but others as well.
He did hint at more developments soon (possibly service work, at a guess), so I reckon we'll have to keep watching to find out!!

Interesting, saw the video and appears he's been getting a load of negative comments on his videos so has had to turn them off.

The buses do look smart, though and he seems to be putting some effort in to making them look good.

The wonder of the internet!! He got a lot of vitriol for using one of the buses to transport some tyres... the mind boggles; I mean, he owns the buses so he can do what he wants with them. But hey.
I agree they look really smart.

I fail to see why there are so many arguments about this myself. There's nothing wrong going on here.

The guy wants to make money, is applying for an operators license and is hiring them out to others in the meantime as they are still certified to be passenger carrying buses and are not preserved?

There are other companies who do similar things, so why go after just one person? Is nobody allowed to make money these days? Must all buses stay parked up other than a few days per year?

It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the comments are coming from a place of jealousy from a small section of the enthusiast community. I don’t know the chap personally, but from his videos he comes across as a decent person who has a career in an industry he’s clearly passionate about, so good luck to him wherever this venture may lead in the future. It’s nice to see the next generation taking a professional interest.

I'm fairly sure he made a post as well about how he wasn't in a great place due to lots of things happening. I hope he's on the mend as we need young, personable and positive people in the industry. He might not get everything right, but he clearly loves the industry.

I believe he used to work for Hulleys, then when it folded, sought other options. When Go-Coach was associated with Hulleys, he came to Godstone to drive a Go-Coach Tempo on the Lowish-Floor Running Day a couple of years back. He took pride in his work, checking that no-one else at the bus stop wanted the bus before moving off. He seems to be a true enthusiast, and if he is encountering problems, I wish him well.

I think quite a few people who worked for Hulleys had a hard time at the end of operations both financially and emotionally as is often the case when operators fail. I would agree in wishing him well in what is a hard industry in which to operate

It looks like the YouTuber has indeed picked up those ex‑Stagecoach Dennis Darts and branded them as Peak Bus. From what’s been shared so far, the livery is more of a personal project than a fully launched operator. No official registrations or timetables are visible yet, so it’s likely they’ll be used for private hire, event transport, or occasional rail replacement work rather than daily service. Could just be a hobby fleet with future plans.
