Pay - Cross Country

Hi all.

Just a quick question - I feel bad asking at work so early on...

I started with XC today and obviously have missed the cut off for pay this Friday - so in affect I'll get paid 4 weeks on Friday (9th September)...

Can anyone tell me when I would get this week's pay? Would it be added to my first pay packet in September?

It would normally be paid as soon as possible so it should be September. But you are better off talking to hr/payroll as they are the ones who will know.

I apprentice it won't be paid this week - just wondered if I'd get paidown my usual 4 weekly salary in September plus this one week, or if I'll get it when I leave the company.

Depends on what the cut-off for hours is per pay cycle (each company is different), but in short, you will get accrued pay from this period in the next pay cycle. The company cannot legally "hold on" to your pay under normal circumstances.

You're not losing out on any pay. None of your colleagues will have been paid for 'this' week on Friday. The pay packet they will get on Friday will be for the four weeks that ended on Saturday 6 August.

The new Four week cycle starts today, so everyone at XC will be paid for the period from Sunday 7 August to Saturday 3 September on Friday 9 September.

I understand why you'd think that, but the correct way to look at it is you will have worked only 4 FULL weeks until payday

The wages are normally processed around Wednesday so in that Fifth week you refer to, you will only have worked 2 or 3 days that week which are part of the next 4 week cycle.

Youll be paid 4-weeks as everybody else. You work a week in arrears, so the cut off now is in three weeks if that makes sense?
