Path near Stromeferry

Hi All,

At Stromeferry railway station there is a track that runs parallel to the railway line inbetween the railway and the coast (towards Attadale). Is this a coastal public footpath or a private track? The ordnance survey map doesn't show it as a footpath but the attached picture tells me otherwise... Any help appreciated

Isn't there a 'right to roam' in Scotland, so footpaths are often
not marked as such?

Not sure about the legalities, but generally any path like this that was private would be gated and/or have numerous signs informing you of the fact.

Irrelevant, just because you're allowed to walk on it doesn't mean that you don't want to know where you are going - the path will likely be signposted....

Doesn't matter - Scotland has a right to roam policy. You can go wherever you want within reason.

Hiya. Nope it doesn't help because I have already checked that before even starting this new thread. I cannot see a path inbetween the railway line and the coast but the picture I uploaded tells me otherwise.

Scotsman - I take your point about 'right to roam' but I would still like more clarity
