Had a report from a friend that he's on board a service not showing in RTT which I thought was surprising, a 1735 (not 1725) from London Bridge to Epsom, first stop Sutton. I can't find any existence of this in raildar or anything like that.

Anyone seen anything like this before, where a presumably timetabled service is invisible to websites like this?

This appears to be 2I48 (link to RTT), usually the 1735 departure ex-Victoria to Epsom. 2I48 is usually formed from stock from Stewarts Lane depot to Victoria (5Y42 - link to RTT), and in this case has come from Stewarts Lane via Factory Jn / Voltaire Jn / Denmark Hill to London Bridge as 5Z42 (link to RTT).

I don't like to speculate as there's a number of reasons why it might have been sent to London Bridge - there's a signal failure in the Vauxhall area which might mean something got diverted, there might have been stock displacement from yesterday's running, or just something as simple as there not quite being room to squeeze in a path into Victoria (there are a couple of late running trains coming up the mainline).

EDIT: To answer your question, it looks like a very very late movement, so probably simply isn't in the data for London Bridge - quick work by the signallers I suspect. By the time the train got to Sutton it'd be back "on route" so your friend might have seen everything looking normal from there onwards.

I don’t see how the Vauxhall issue affects services out of Victoria.

Neither do I, to be honest! I just took a cursory glance at any nearby disruption; you're quite right that that would be quite unlikely to have any affect on the short run from Stewarts Lane into Victoria.

Track circuit failure on the Battersea Reversible. Train was diverted to London Bridge as it couldn't get to Victoria
