Passenger taken ill today. Glasgow question

Hi! Got to Bridgeton Station (25th Feb, around 9:20am) today and noticed on the boards that it said a passenger had become unwell and services would be a disrupted between Rutherglen and Partick. Just wondering why those five stations between there would be disrupted because one person became sick. Thoughts go to the person's family.

Presumably the train was sat awaiting an Ambulance...

I was on the train that was stuck behind it in the tunnel. The train with the ill passenger was 1C03 and was kept at Glasgow Central Low Level whilst waiting for the ambulance staff

Nightmare, I always try to tell the patient they will feel better with some fresh air - once on the platform they are the platform staff's problem, buzz buzz and away

Part of the problem with passengers is they'll stop the train anywhere, even though it is 99% of the time better to have the train wait at a station.
