Good morning,
It’s my first time making a post on the forum although I’ve been a lurker for some time, and I was wondering if I could get some advice.
i’ve been travelling on the railways for some time now, and making use of passenger assistance to help me on and off the trains due to a disability, One thing I have noticed is that station staffing times which are given on the companies website arent always accurate and this can leave me in some tricky situations when I travel to a station which I think will be staffed, but it turns out it isn’t at that time.
there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it either, as I’ve often found that train stations in small towns tend to be staffed for longer whereas in big cities this is not the case.
for example there’s a Chilton station near me where there are no staff after 13:30 in the afternoon on Saturdays though the chiltern website, which I expect gets all its information from knowledge base, doesn’t mention this.
Is there a more accurate source for more up to date information, surely The train operating companies themselves must know what time their staff work?
My biggest fear is being stranded in a station when I need to change trains.
