Passed Psychometric Tests....failed interview??

I have previously passed the Psychometric tests but failed the interview with Northern, does anybody know if I would have to re take all the tests or just the interview in my new application with Northern? Previously applied August 2013. Thanks in advance

If your tests are within date you would only have to complete the DMI.

Some TOC’s only accept assessments with a 2 year validity so you may find that since you took them in 2013 you may have to complete the entire process again I’m afraid.

Yes as mentioned above, it depends on which interview you sat. If you failed the DMI this does not count as a life, however, the MMI does. Some TOC's actually hold DMIs before MMIs which I believe are better.

I'm not 100% sure what the interview I had would be classed as. From memory I had to give examples of when I had been in or dealt with certain situations, what actions I took and how I felt before during and afterwards. Would this be MMI or DMI? Thanks

Well it sounds like you did the MMI, but nowadays from what I've read, is that they ask similar questions in both. MMI (Multi modal Interview) and DMI (Driver Manager Interview) does this ring a bell?

I honestly cant remember what type the interview was classed as, I remember I had to do all the assessments in the morning, had about a 10 minute break and then called first straight into the interview, my head was a bit battered by that point!! Is it normal to do everything on the same day?

I personally have not heard of interviews being held on the same day of assessments, that must of been intense. I'd recommend you ring Northen HR and query if you took the DMI or MMI?

I'll ring them and see what i can find out. If it was the MMI then I would only have one more opportunity to pass?

Unfortunately correct, hence why I think more TOCs should hold DMI first, to get a feel of the candidate and not prevent a loss of life

As I believe it ......
Northern initially do an interview with a northern manager and if you get beyond that stage then you go onto the psychometric tests , which includes the tests in the morning and then a interview in the afternoon (multi modal interview).
The tests and the MMI are part of your three lives. I have been informed that the tests last for 5 years in northern’s eyes Unlike other TOC’s which can be as little as 2 years validity.

Ah ok, so as I passed all the psychometric tests and failed what I assume is the MMI then this should be the only part I have to be re assessed on? Although I'm being a little presumptuous as I've not even submitted the new application yet!

yeah that’s correct
But with it been so long since you did it they may ask you re do it.

Get the application in as they don’t keep them open long
