As part of Evergreen 3, Chiltern will be putting extra stoppers on running purely as Moor St to Leamington as some of the long distance trains have their Warwick, Hatton and Lapworth stops taken out.

I still don't understand why the Snow Hill service from Central Trains weren't included in the Chiltern franchise when Central was split into London Midland etc - they have almost nothing to do with the rest of the old Central network (apart from Worcester), whereas there's stop to integrate them into Chiltern a little bit

Chiltern were invited to submit a bid for taking over the Snow Hill suburban services at the time the London Midland franchise was let. Unfortunately the DfT in their infinate wisdom decided to reject Chiltern's bid in favour of London Midland.

Theres 2 an hour in each direction between Leamington and Aynho, its not that intensive a service. South of Aynho they have to contend with around 3 bin liners a day. The only tricky bit is Tyseley to Snow Hill.

The frequency of the service is not the difficult bit, it's the one train from Birmingham that's late that has the potential to delay three or four other trains once it gets south of Aynho.

Tyseley to Snow Hill is not a comparable issue, as the principal issue is once a late running Dorridge/Leamington suburban service is in front of a London to Birmingham (and v.v.) service then the damage is already done.

It's all good fun!

... or Swansea-Holyhead were converted to 2x67 + 4/6 type 3 coaches.

An unashamedly pernickery point: there aren't any direct services between Swansea and Holyhead.

I do, however, agree with your point. WSMR excel at their single route (and all praise to them!) but ATW deliver what I consider to be a good service across their much larger franchise.
