Parking at Rugby station, advice please.

I intend to travel north from Rugby (Great Escape) on Thursday. Can anybody tell me how full the three car parks are between about 09:00 and 09:30.
Also, reading the Rugby Rail Users group website, they say that tickets must be bought at the station entrances. I assume that they are pay-on-exit and not pay-and-display. Is that correct.

Most of the time car parks 1 and 2 are full with car park 3 (the multi story one) being available.

It is pay on exit, not pay and display.
