I am due to visit Paris next month not been in 5 years what’s best way to get around? I heard metro tickets are now digital? I use to get the double decker train out to Gare de Lyon. What stops could I visit by buying tickets on this as I quite fancy walking round on foot. Form memory Notre dame is close by rail. Also what’s the new Eurostar classes like I am to travel back to London on Eurostar plus whats the offering like? I am also going to Brussels has the Eurostar terminal had its refit yet?

Usually metro, but it's perfectly walkable, RER in the core (inside Paris) is faster but can be hecticly crowded at peak times.

You can either buy a Navigo Easy smartcard for €2 at most station ticket office, or even from the Eurostar bar car. But I would recommend you just use your phone.

Eurostar (blue) classes change on 04/11 and appear to be a name change only.

The Brussels terminal shop rebuild is finished, so you have to go through the shop to get to seats then back through the shop to get to the platforms, running into americans paying for their purchses on the self-service checkout terminals.

Or Cité on line 4 of the Metro (which is direct from Gare du Nord if you need to kill time before hotel check in).

Basically all the main sites are in Zone 1-2, though Versailles castle is in zone 4

Have been in Paris this week using the IDF Mobilites app on my iPhone for metro & RER journeys. Straight forward to find the ticket(s) we wanted and worked well at the ticket barriers.

Done this payment came off no ticket. App crashed said a problem. Not great if papers tickets are going and this happens I would have to taxi it around Paris.

If a ticket is not loaded it is automatically refunded after a few days. So you can try again

When recently in Paris, I had a problem initially with tickets not loading properly after payment.
Turned out I needed to make sure that the 'My Navigo Tickets' App was configured to allow auto-start/secondary-launch/run-in-background (under Battery/App Settings on my Huawei Android).

After force stopping both that and the RATP app, and restarting both, my purchased tickets then appeared.

Also if you have a physical Navigo card you can use the app to top these up at home as long as your phone is NFD compatible and avoids queues to top up and lets you go directly to the metro.
