I will land at CDG approx.16:30 on Sunday afternoon and need to get to Dijon the same evening.

Looking for advice on the ease of using the train, or just hiring a car at CDG driving all the way (~400km)!

I've not been to Paris for 40 years and never to CDG airport, so am apprehensive about making a connection to the TGV at Paris Gare Lyon and would ideally need a flexible departure time in case my (Easyjet) flight is delayed.

Any advise much appreciated.

Bear in mind also that at the beginning of this week, SNCF strikes were due to be taking place until 11th May. Whether this is still the case and what the effect on different areas is I don’t know (RER to the airport was halved on Tuesday, but Grandes Lignes apparently running normally)

TGV fares are train-specific but AIUI can be rebooked to a later train at the station (for a fee).
If you don't mind the hour slower journey, the TER from Bercy is walk-up (and half the price).

Thanks for the replies.

As its not possible to pick-up a hire car in Dijon after 5 p.m., my plans to use the train have been kyboshed.
