Paignton-Sheffield 1st June 2013

I am booked and have tickets in my hand on an 1805 from Paignton to Birmingham. Then onward to Sheffield on the 2156. Both XC services.

When I try to look for that journey on any of the TOC or National Rail websites - it doesn't exist anymore! Am I doing something wrong?

I haven't received any change of journey information from XC so I am rather confused!

Any help would be gratefully received and appreciated please.

The Saturday 1805 from Paignton, according to online timetable data, only exists between June 22 and September 7. However in the printed XC timetable it's listed as running from May 25 to September 7. Weird.

I'm not sure why the discrepancy; there's no engineering work that may have slipped through or anything.

If the train turns out not to exist, then your best bet is to take the 17.52 from Paignton to Exeter, where you'll have a 56-minute connection into the 19.23 to Leeds (which is the same train as the 21.56 from Birmingham that you're booked on).

This service appears to be missing from certain systems, as I noticed that last weekend it was input onto Trust and Realtime sites as a VSTP schedule (Very Short Term Plan), so can only imagine that it has been missed out from Trust for the first 4 weeks of the timetable. Would double check with XC though - should be fine though!
