Is the a site which shows tube station entrances, exits and routes between them like a pedestrian subway map, especially for Paddington? Thanks

Bakerloo line access is closed for refurbishment at Pad at the moment, that may have an impact on whatever you are thinking...

I don't think so.

Carto Metro is my map of choice and you can see pretty clearly that the 3 different sets of platforms at Paddington are spread quite widely: they're effectively 3 different stations.

The Circle/District (Edgware Road to destinations via High St Kensington) platforms are connected by walkway to the Bakerloo platforms, the Circle/H&C (Hammersmith to destinations via King's Cross St Pancras) aren't directly connected to the other underground platforms at all but are adjacent to the National Rail platforms.

Depending on the details of the journey in question it may be easier to walk to/from Lancaster Gate.

If you have an iOS device you could download the excellent Station Master app which has 3D maps for every station on the network, including Paddington.

Very useful to hunt out some shortcuts!

They used to have different names - and they should suffix those names back to the SSL stations to reduce passenger confusion.

Paddington Bishop's Road for the H&C / Circle and Paddington Praed Street for the Wimbleware / Circle station respectively, before anyone asks.

At least now it's reasonably clear you have to go to the western platforms (former Bishops Road) for stations east of Edgware Road. This service was split between H&C from Bishops Road and Circle from Praed Street, inducing that nagging feeling you'd have got there much quicker if you'd gone to the other one.

I recently came across some tourist with a huge suitcase at Praed Street who, upon being told that he should have gone to Bishop's Road to get to Hammersmith started dragging his case in that direction instead of going via Edgware Road - despite being told it would be a lot easier and even quicker!:roll:

So I'd say it still needs each station to have a distinct identity in the first place.

Yes, it also needs American tourists to listen to what is being explained to them, but that's another subject altogether...
