Hi,

I've noticed today that demolition work has started on the former Red Star/Lynx parcels depot next to the 3rd (non-Brunel) arch at Paddington. What is this area going to be used for- I understood that the Crossrail station is going to be built under Eastbourne Terrace, so it can't be part of that project. Anyone have any info??

TIA

Ah yes, that eternal waste of money crossrail!

Whats wrong with them tunnels that already exist from Paddington - Liverpool Street? ya'know, the Circle line...

You could a lot easyer spec up some nice desiros to do the job and install automatic train running and get a good 6tph and make them from proper desitinations, can even save on wires by making them electro-diesel trains, so it would cost in the reigon of 100mil for track and 1bn for the sock, rather than the current 7bn price tag...

In awnser to your question, dunno, just like to have a rant about what a waste of money crossrail is!
