Platform 13 at Paddington has now been closed and the track lifted in preparation for it to be rebuilt as an extension to Platform 12.

There was a short discussion about this a couple of pages back in the main GWML electrification thread, although it is a bit off topic there it is intended to support longer EMU operation.
