Paddington- hoardings at platform 10/11 exit

Alongside the exit area to platforms 10 and 11 at Paddington there has been hoardings hiding building work for a number of years.
I always assumed this was related to the Paddington Square / new bakerloo line entrance but now that's complete the hoardings are still there. It makes the exit area from these platforms very congested.

What is happening behind the hoardings?

As I understand it it’s in place around a support for a tent above the platform, which is allowing the steel girders of the road bridge over platforms 11 and 12 to be replaced. In theory should be finished mid next year.
