I would like to learn about the "padded cell"-trains, wich where used between King William Street and Stockwell starting in the year 1890.
I found a few pictures on the website of the London Transport museum.
How where these trains coupled? Three passengercars with a lokomotive on each side? Or was only one lokomotive used, which 'pushed' the train on it's way back?
And the dimensions? The above mentioned website only gives height and width. How long where the lokomotives and passengercars?
Does anyone have drawings / diagrams of these trains?
