It appears that everyone prefers a heritage DMU over a Pacer.

142s are the worst things on rails.

You forget that the Hampshire and Sussex units were very nicely maintained trains before the connex years. Very cosy as well. They couldn't 'alf pump some heat into the passenger saloon on a cold winters day !
