I was just wasting a bit of time looking at one of the live Dawlish webcams, as a consist pulled away from the station towards Teignmouth. It had a 2-car 150 leading and what looked like a 143 behind. Are Pacers still being moved around in the south-west?

143617, 143618, & 143619 are the last 3 Class 143s with GWR however all 3 are stored at St Philips Marsh and have been for some while now. I believe they are in quite rough shape internally now

Looking back to just over 40 mins ago the only things stopping at Dawlish were 150207,802015,and a voyager.
Do we have a definitive answer as to why they're still there?

Ah, thanks for that. So maybe one of them is being moved around today.
The only locals around at 07:40'ish according to RTT, were single 2-car 150s, however there was definitely a GWR green painted Pacer coupled to it pulling away from Dawlish on the down line which is why I posted this thread.

That's interesting; I hadn't known that but it makes sense. The West Somerset, being so long (the longest in the UK), often runs steam services on the full length of the line while a couple of DMUs work Williton - Minehead shuttle services. Said shuttles are currently worked by 1st Generation DMUs rather similar to Bubble cars. I wouldn't mind a trip on a Pacer on that route; it's a lovely coastal heritage railway on which the large windows would be rather appreciated.
Of course it's possible for anyone to mistake what they see, but:
a) the trains definitely comprised four cars
b) the rearmost two cars looked too short to be 20m long 150s which the first two clearly were
c) RTT shows all local trains between the 07:14 1S39 XC service to almost 08:00 as either 2-car 150s or the one 0735 EXD to PLY as a 5-car 802.
I was looking at the Marine Parade Live camera and as far as i know it was all live as the two EXM - PGN and one PGN - EXM locals were roughly on time. I've been back on the webcam whilst answering thios thread and I can't see any facility for looking back alond the recent timeline (without a subscription) so I don't think that I accidently slipped into that. I might add that I had been awake and up for over an hour so presumably wasn't dreaming it.
But heigh ho, it is trivial in the big scheme of things. Thanks for the replies to all though. At least my assmption that 143s were not running around has been confirmed.
Got a history of scrapping DMUs too - can remember a trip on whatever they had in the late 70s which met their demise at some point.

Could've been a 158? They can look pile pacers if you don't see them properly.
