Sorry...me again with my Oyster queries!

Today, I looked up the single fare between Tower Gateway and Stratford; no alternative options are given, presumably as it's in Zone 1. Will the machines mind how I get there? For example, if I did Tower Gateway to Canning Town on DLR and then Jubilee to Stratford, would it mind? I can't really see how it would know?

No, you can take any reasonable route using any mode of rail (dlr/nr/tube). The only thing to be wary of is exceeding the maximum journey time allowed, but that is usually quite difficult unless you go on a major detour.

The total journey time given seems to be 22 minutes, including the change. I'm sure that must be well below the max journey time?

110 minutes M-F daytime, more at evenings and weekends. As I said, it's quite difficult to exceed the maximum normally.

It is. A Zone 1-3 journey is allowed 110 mins weekdays during the day, 125 after 1900 and all day Sat, and 135 mins on Sundays.

(Unless it's changed since I last found this info.)
