This may be a stupid question but yesterday I arrived in London without my normal oyster card so I had to pay £5 to get a new one and put some credit on it so my question is when my trip to London ends can I get a refund of the card fee and any credit on the card if I hand it in to a ticket office? Also I loaded my disabled railcard onto this oyster card so does that mean I would need to reapply it onto my other oyster card on my next trip? The person who sold me the card didn't know the answer to those questions. Thanks in advance.

Yes, reports on this forum suggest that it is best to do this at an Underground ticket office. It seems it can be done at some but not all National Rail ticket offices.

My suggestion is that you keep the new card with the discount enabled but return the old card for a refund on your next trip. I can foresee problems in attempting to move the discount from one card to another.

It will be fine. Only the expiry date is entered on the Oyster card so the same railcard can be associated with more than one Oyster card. However, once a railcard is loaded onto an Oyster card it is only valid when used with a railcard.
