I am going to London for a day next Friday and I have my oyster card with £15.

Is there a minimum amount of credit i require on my card to make at least 1 Tube/DLR/National Rail trip in central London.

Cool il load my railcard onto it. Is it a lengthy or quick process loading your 16-25 railcard onto the oyster

The reason i asked about the minimum fare is because I think you are charged £6.50 when you touch in on Tube etc and then it is adjusted to the oyster fare when you touch out.

I thought that if i was a penny short i would not be able to touch in

It is quick, fill out a registration form (even if its already registered) and take that, your railcard and Oyster to the ticket office and it will be done immediately.

You do not need £6.50 on your card to make a journey, you could just have the minimum fare from that station and it will let you through.

Unless you touch the 'wrong' readers at Paddington a couple of times (:|)

Oof, do you mean the standalone ones on the H&C Line platforms? I touched out using one, got to the barriers on the bridge and I'm like "oh, have I come out the right way?"
