Oyster Boundary Zone Fare Question

Forgive me if this question sounds "stupid". I now have a Zone 1-4 Travelcard on my Oyster (first time I have ever bothered). Later today I will be travelling from Victoria to Dormans (outside Oyster land). Now, do I by my "boundary" ticket from Boundary Zone 4, or is it Boundary Zone 5 (as my ticket covers the entire zone 4 area).

Would I be right in assuming it is Boundary Zone 4?

Yes. BZn tickets are from the outer boundary of the numbered zone.
