Tonight at Wimbledon the display was staying the end train was due in before the first. Ever so often the display would update itself and say correction. Eventually the first train was due the second train was a minute away.

There was also a train which had its Wimbledon and other stops cancelled. This was announced as please stand clear the next train is not scheduled to call at this station.

I think one will find it was but they cancelled it. There was no announcement about its cancellation. I know this because heir was a 14 minute gap between departijy train services.

What makes it so interesting is that every train was booked to call at Earrlsfield; Clapham Junction; Vaxuhall and London Waterloo.

Thus you could tell what each correction notice referred to!

Thanks for the link to that French website. It is very useful to me in a number of ways.
I think you have confused me even more as what you are saying is that on 'the Drain' they can close Bank platforms but keep Waterloo platforms open.

The options for platform closures on the W&C are:
Bank - both platforms open: the line is open as normal
Noth platforms closed: the line is fully suspended.
One platform closed: the line can either run with severe delays (only about half the number of trains can run) or be fully suspended. The choice of which will depend on the reason why one platform needs to close, and the level of crowding (too many people and it becomes unsafe).

Waterloo - both platforms open: Line open as normal.
Arrivals platform open, departures platform closed: Line part suspended - trains in service westbound but empty eastbound.
Arrivals platform closed, departures platform open: Line part suspended - trains in service eastbound but empty westbound.
Both platforms closed: Line fully suspended.

For a little bit we had the displays at Flinders Street a few years back. Telling passengers the next train is going to station X without a single passenger. Normally it should just display Arrival.
It's not even useful for the driver because the driver gets a piece of paper telling him where he's going.

15:53 London Waterloo to Alton due 17:10 has been reinstated.
This is due to the train making extra stops because of service disruption.
Will be formed of 4 coaches instead of 8.

Good advice as I have seen many parents pushing the chair in front of then and bumping it down onto the platform
