I know this will have been brought up a lot.
Have two Operative jobs currently pending. One on track the other off track with both having a basic salary of £26177.
If I’m lucky enough to get either which I have all toes and fingeres crossed . How much more money could you earn with shift enhancements overtime etc on top of your basic. Both jobs are at Preston if that helps with what premium they could be on.
Thanks

It all depends what roster your potential squad are working to. Mines is at 25%. As for overtime it’s never guaranteed so don’t bank on it.

All depends on how much work the yard has for overtime. Operatives In my yard on a lower basic salary but higher rates of overtime from Preston are earning 38k+ but like MT18 says never bank on having the overtime

So is that 25% of your basic salary added on top ?

That is a very good salary.
I’ve been brought up to live within your means and never bank on overtime. But if there is overtime grab it if it’s going. Thanks for the information much appreciated.

Im 99% sure preston is GTRM area so therefore it will be a 10% shift enhancement, as you have the higher basic rate. This could vary depending on the discipline

The basic is a very good wage so with any shift enhancement added is a bonus.
Thanks
