Looking at the current NRCOT unless I've missed it there seems to be no mention of Overnight BoJ and only relatively vague reference to the topic in paragraph 16.
The previous rules "cannot reasonably complete journey in one day" was also open to some interpretation as to what exactly it allowed.
Are there any more specific rules or expectations for Overnight BoJ validity, particularly when applied to tickets that do not allow BoJs?
A few scenarios that could be open to interpretation:
If a journey cannot be completed, would the BoJ have to be taken after a certain time or a point where the journey cannot be completed or is it allowed for the passenger to break at any point they wish?
At what point would a gap in service become too long to reasonably require a passenger to take it rather than retire to a hotel and return for a later onward service?
If there is an overnight service available (Cally for example) does that remove the entitlement of taking an overnight BoJ?
With it no longer being spelled out as a right is it now a big grey area or should it be read that any ticket that bars BoJ also bars Overnight breaks too?
