Took me ages to get home tonight because of the wire problems at Cambuslang. National Rail site is saying that Virgin and TPE are diverting between MTH and GLC. Presumably the Pendos are being dragged via Baillieston? If the problems continue, there's the possibility the sleeper could be dragged.

Maybe via Whifflet, the line beyond Newton via Kings Park could accomodate 390s, 221s or 185s. the route would onlt be accessible via the Newton South Connection though: Hamilton Circle would require complex reversal

I think Newton will be the bottle-neck. Hourly services from Larkhall and 2 from Motherwell (one via Bellshill and the other via Hamilton), all terminating at Newton, as well as the High Level services.

Would still be easier to route them that way and receive a further 15 minute delay than wait for a 57 from Glasgow to get to it somehow and block the whole Mainline

Cheers guys. Some unusual traffic on the Cathcart Circle then.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

Expected not to be cleared until the end of service, so the sleepers will go via Mt Florida.

Wasent too long ago that 91s .390s etc went via Mount Florida . There must be enough clearance that way . Can they route via Maxwell park ?

Yep, Most of the class should be in and around Longsight...Not in warm store in Eastleigh as cleverly reported by rail magazine...

What a carry on that was and the first thing most punters did was phone Uncle Tom, Dick and Harriette to come and collect them.
Rush hour lasted till 9pm, throw in pouring rain and the start of the dark nights, result chaos central.
