Hello,
I tried to search the forums, but couldn't find anywhere with the specific details.
I'm planning a trip from Egham to Newcastle to Durham to Edinburgh to Egham in a few days time, over about 10 days. If possible, I'd like to buy a Super Offpeak Return to Durham, then excess it to a return to Edinburgh (allowing me to stop my journey short at Newcastle and then return from Edinburgh) (I realise I'll also need to be buying other tickets for the intermediate stretches!).
I was wondering, how do Overdistance excesses get issued. I'm able to claim back the Egham-Durham fare, so want to know if my original Egham-Durham ticket would get altered in this process (and hence the ticket-shuffling, otherwise I'd just buy a ticket Egham-Edinburgh and be done with it).
Thanks!
