Overall STock Count

Is there somewhere I can get a comprehensive breakdown by class/type of all the locomotives/passenger units used by all the TOCs and freight operators in the UK?

If freight is impossible I would settle for a passenger stock only list.

There are some reasonable lists on wikipedia, generally somewhere on each TOC's page

25 Class 158 Express Sprinter sets

I think these numbers might be a little out of date (the HST that went to EC) however it seems about right

There is a book published by ian Allan, it seems to be published every year, i've got the 2010 edition, that gives a breakdown of stock (locos, units, hauled stock) for each operator. "Rail Guide", it's called, by Colin Marsden.

As far as The Inter Net, Railfaneurope.net is useful for a quick breakdown of how much of each each operator has, although it doesn't give actual loco/unit numbers .
