Over 70s free travel in Slovakia

Does anyone know if this has been stopped this year, or as a non EU member country are we still allowed free travel?

It wasn't EU-related (that was for students and pensioners under 62).

For the benefit of others (I think you've got yours?) - the application form is now downloadable from the zssk website, and they still require a funny-size 2×3cm photo

IF you hold that card with foto, its lifelong-or as long as this scheme keeps on. And according to website and (though quite long ago) it is for anyone from 63-just have to take that before you go task of getting the card and then getting a free ticket anytime you travel-quota controlled on express/rychlik trains.
Slovenija (often confused with Slovakia) now also has a free pensioners travel scheme, but this is limited to those actaully living there-with proof of that from local council. It then comes loaded on a chipcard (which I think has to be paid for).
On the same subject: Free travel for anyone >70 is also available in nearly all Polish cities-for the local transit: (metro-only in WAW)-tram, bus, but this is not universal and may in a very few cities be restricted to those holding chipcards or the like. This as I am right now just starting to go there the slow way by local trains ia Germany on the 49€ monthly pass.

Yes thanks Im on my 2nd one now, so been using them for a few years , strangely, the ink vanished from my last one, so I renewed it last year, glad its still valid thank you.

Thank you, my last one had dodgy ink on it and it vanished after a few years, I replaced it last year, someone told me this week that it had been stopped, but Ive been unable to find anything about it on line, so looks like they are still valid, thank you very much
