Ormskirk to Langley Mill - day return

Hi all,

I have a 16-25 railcard, and need to get to get to Langley Mill and back next Saturday from Ormskirk.

In terms of time, I need to be at Langley Mill no later than 2 and depart from 5:15 onwards.

The cheapest I've found so far is just over £30 return.

Any split fares/alternate routes would be greatly appreciated!

If you were happy to be tied to specfic services then you could lower the cost down to this :

Ormskirk - Liverpool SDR £4.15, take any train you wish as long as you arrive in time for the 1052 to Sheffield from Liverpool Lime Street.

1052 Liverpool - Sheffield 1235
1305 Sheffield - Langley Mill 1340

£7.90 East Midlands Trains + Connections Advance

Return

1803 Langley Mill - Liverpool 2030

And then any train back to Ormskirk

£9.90 East Midlands Trains Advance

Total cost : £21.95 with 16-25 railcard and all journeys shown are for Saturday 2nd March

Ormskirk - Preston
Preston - Leeds
Leeds - Langley Mill

Bound to be some good splits with where these stop en route!
