Ormskirk - Blackpool North

I was interested in the re-schedule of the Preston - Ormskirk timetable this week to incorporate Blackpool North whilst the Wigan/Warrington engineering works were underway (due to end Sunday?) It certainly looks more of a clockface timetable that the ordinary one & was also wondering if Northern are using 156s over the Ormskirk Branch as opposed to the usual 142/153? It would make good sense but there's no guarantee! Also has there been upto 2 DMUs over the Branch due to this & more constructive use made of the Rufford Loop as a passing place?

When I did Preston-Ormskirk last year it was a 150.

The first day of the blockade saw both diagrams covered by 156+153 due to the expected high passenger numbers travelling to the football at Preston.

The hourly service is made up of 2 diagrams booked 156s that would normally be working Blackpool-Liverpool. Trains are crossing at Farington Curve Junction rather than Rufford due to tight timings needed to maintain the hourly service.
