Orient Express Local Ticketing

Does anyone know how to buy Tickets for the Orient Express (Bangkok - KL - Singapore or V/V). When I go on line all I seem to get is an agency in London. Being Bangkok based and working in Kuala Lumpur, you'd have thought you could buy locally but all I get is strange looks when I ask. Any help would be gratefully received.

Seat 61 is pretty exhaustive but doesn't offer a local agency.

This is a special train, perhaps it is worth your asking a concierge in one of the deluxe hotels in Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur as they may be able to help. I know in the past the Shangri La's and BKK Oriental had a deal with the E & O Train.
