I am planning to run an organised trip in Feb 2010 to two (or more) of the South American Countries (Brazil/Argentina/Chile) to see the Railways, take some photographs at various depots and works, and hopefully organise a ride over one or more of the freight lines.

I am anticipating a two-week tour, with one week options as well.

Interpreters will be provided.

If anyone is interested can you PM me so I can get a feel for possible numbers.

Cheers

OT

Seems a excellent idea and the only problem would be OT hogging the flight attendants for himself especially if they're blonde...!

There will be a visit to and ride on the Serra Verde Express railway, which has absolutely stunning scenery, with trains passing over trestle bridges high above the ground. Not for the faint hearted.

There will also be rides (using passenger services) over two Minerals main lines, one of which passes through the edge of the Amazon and operates some of the longest and heaviest trains in the world. 3.5 Km lomg trains with four GE Dash 9 locos.

There will also be a visit to the locomotive depot/works as well as the new state of the art Ops Control Centre.

Information is awaited from other potential Countries.
