Should there be a channel for rail focussed software developers/development?

Having seen a few good apps created by forum users (such as @gaelen recently), is there any interest in a new channel on railuk to cover $subject?

Getting people connected, we'd see more open source collaboration to build tools, and more ideas.

I wrote a push-app to send a list of STP movements to my phone for the current day for a short list of TIPLOCS. Great for catching specials and unusual loco moves. I'd happily share - although the idea is better than the code ;)

This morning I was thinking how awesome it'd be to have a heatmap overlay of the sections where delays are _created_ using running data (I bet the 2 miles south into Sheffield or Proof House Jct feature..), which would mean APIs I've not touched before and therefore writing a whole load of boilerplate that someone else has surely done before.
