Hello, I've recently decided to scrap TT120 and start again with a OO shelf layout, only trouble is, I don't know what to do!
I know I want a reasonable yard with fun shunting maneuverers available and with the possibility for expanding onto another shelf unit (so would be ~63'' by 20'')
If anyone has any ideas for layouts it would be greatly appreciated :)

A wagon repair workshop?

Allows for many different loco types ‘visiting’, keeps costs down as you don’t need full rakes and should allow plenty of shunting.

My old workplace at Kiwi Rail Addington wagon workshops has got a long haphazard track plan, visible on Google Maps. There's also a wheel lathe in the shed for a bit more variety with Locos as well as wagons frequenting the facility. Just shows you don't need straight lines to be prototypical...:D
