I'm not sure if any of the 'white roof' charter fleet have been done, but some of the charter fleet had a normal dark grey roof as they occasionally got used on Intercity extras, so they might have a model.

Replica are as far as I'm aware of the only ones to date to do the INTERCITY Swallow / Charter rake, Bachmann has however produced a few in Intercity / Mainline type with standard grey roofs. Not sure whatever happened to their promised early Mk2s in IC & RR though - I think they slipped through the production net!

If any coaches exist that are exactly the same apart from white roofs then perhaps you could respray the roofs

I have a mk1 buffet in 'INTERCITY' livery for sale on ebay, and two second opens in 'intercity' livery for sale.

The two 2nd opens are bachmann
the Buffet says hornby underneath but looks like a replica railways model, so I'm not sure if Hornby bought the moulds from Replica, or if it's a love child of a hornby and replica model

regards,
darryl

It sounds like an interesting lovechild then as Hornby were until about a year or so ago still using the ex Triang Mk1 moulds, while Replica Railways Mk1s actually have their origins from Mainline Railways / Palitoy which laterally became part of Bachmann. I think some of the earliest Mk1s from Bachmann also made use of the former Mainline tools before being sold on to Replica.

I should imagine with careful masking and/or dissassembly and the correct paint applied carefully with an airbrush, a good representation of "THE COACHES" could be achieved.

The RR ones (Transpennine version) became one of those limited edition purchased via a magazine only jobbies. 47475 in RR was through the same mag too.
