Hi guys,

I'm new to the forums, and I'm a documentary film maker. I'm trying to put together a short film about the sensitive subject of a "one under" on the London Underground. I am trying to gather more information about the subject, and possibly a small amount of first hand accounts of experiences.

I'm looking to try and tell the story from as many points of view as possible.

If any of you have any information that you would be willing to share, I'd really appreciate it if you contacted me (johnmahaynes@gmail.com)

Thank you for reading.

John

Hi again guys,

Just to clarify - we are currently only interested in the London Underground. This is subject to the locations that we are talking to allowing us to film.

Should this fall through, we will be broadening the spectrum. Any of you with any stories or experiences that are not relevant to the LU would then be contacted again.

As far as what we want to know, I'm trying to gauge the situation from the point of view of those involved directly. The idea came about after hearing an insensitive commuter say "why do they always jump during rush hour".

Thanks for all your input, it's all very valuable to us.

John,

Having dealt with many on BR, they are all pretty unpleasant and affect people in many different ways.

You may not find many people who are willing to re-live the experience because quite simply we do try to put these things to the backs of our minds and forget about the scene and what it entailed.

That said I did work with a guy who took a perverse pleasure in dealing with suicides, even to the extent of having a "discussion" with someone's head one evening.

Whilst I can't help personally, I would hope that reference would be made by those contributing to how selfish the act is - and possibly even ask some commuters on their views?

Hi again guys, sorry for the inactivity, we've been filming.

So far, from what I've seen of the rushes it looking really good.

We are still lacking variety in the amount of stories we have. Would any of you be able to write about your experiences in here, something we would be able to read using an "actors voice", just to add some more views?

get in touch via my email, johnmahaynes@gmail.com, if you have a story to tell and I'll get back to you.

Thanks again, you've been really helpful so far.
