Does it not go without saying that you have to show any ticket when required to prove you have it? Well done for stating the bleedin obvious Shirlock

Well it needed to be said for you Ramel. As you do need to be spoon fed the information...

Says he who interprets everything wrong and subsequently spams afterwards? Its evidently beyond you to comprehend that I was only telling Paul1609 that he can avoid using the commuter trains in London if he had a Travelcard as well as the rover. Then you start flapping on about something irrelevant

Can you try (for once) to act as grown ups, not 5 year old children????

The bickering and arguments between some members is getting very tiresome....

Yes, I'm equally bored of it, having just deleted a number of posts in another thread...the same pointless arguments between the same two members. Please chaps, keep it off-forum, because we don't really care.

Suitable infractions have been issued, which means that one of our friends will now be taking a short holiday...

Maybe we can get back to talking about the 'one' Day Explorer now then? Only three pages wasted...

Well, I think it's a good idea. Quite a cheap ticket if you think about how much it would cost to do the whole network without a full rover.

I'm looking forward to using this rover one day this summer myself. Plenty of lines to cover over that way, and it's always been a pain in the neck in terms of ticketing to find a way to cover them. Now this rover is available that problem is eliminated.

Now I just need to get myself to Anglia...:happy6:

Ipswich - Norwich - Sheringham - Norwich - Great Yarmouth - Lowestoft - Ipswich is a good few miles! That's just one possible bit of bashing that could be done on it.

If you mean via Reedham, you need to get the times right as there's about 2 trains a day via Berney Arms.

Indeed, Havent checked for the current timetable but it wasnt possible to do both Sheringham and the Great Yarmouth Lowestoft Ipswich lines in a day when I tried a couple of summers ago

This is a plan I drew up a while ago to do all the lines - all services are still the same...

1D06 09:38 Liverpool Street - Lowestoft (12:29 arrival) Via Ipswich
2J77 12:50 Lowestoft - Norwich (13:24 arrival)
2P18 13:36 Norwich - Great Yarmouth (14:07 arrival) Via Lingwood
2C07 14:12 Great Yarmouth - Norwich (14:49 arrival) Via Berney Arms
2S24 15:45 Norwich - Sheringham (16:44 arrival)
2S23 16:49 Sheringham - Norwich (17:40 arrival)
1P57 18:00 Norwich - London (19:54 arrival)

Dont forget you have the SATURDAYS ONLY 1008 & 1310 Great Yarmouth-London Liverpool Street and 1000 & 1200 London Liverpool Street-Great Yarmouth trains which are Class 47s (Cotswold) between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, with (I THINK) 3 out of 4 trips being booked to travel via Reedham and Berney Arms and 1 via Acle.

Not that the line is required for me-done it with 47s, 33 and 57601-And believe you me I could do it everyday. I normally am met with full sun over there and I just love it. O, Semaphores too..

There's also Lowestoft Air Show, which has, in years past, seen loco-hauled shuttles operate in connection with the event - though I'm unsure if there are any plans for 2007. The dates this year are Thursday July 26th and Friday July 27th.

I would advise against doing Ipswich-Lowestoft, its sanity-testing. Makes Norwich-Peterborough seem positively exciting!

Plenty of level crossings, good if you can lean out and hear the dopler on the alarm.

For the final time ever, apparently. Due to begin next weekend I believe, not totally sure. I'll be over there at some point to get the line covered!

...done it with 47s, 33 and 57601...

Not an altogether brilliant achievement in the grand scheme of things, considering 37s, 31s and NB 47s went almost every weekend a while back...

I realise that  Just pointing out to people that it is well worth hanging on until something decent turns up on the Yarmouth and do it then instead of a unit.........seems to be a popular place!!!

Sorry for dragging up an old thread - any ideas if a this or a similar ticket (which is not an ALR) still exists for use on One lines south of Ipswich?

Would be nice if they brought back this ticket permenantly, since I've covered all the Anglia day rover area (north of Ipswich and Cambridge, all the way to Peterborough), I've covered all of 'one' in the LT Travelcard area, it's the bit in between where I have gaps, mostly on the WA side but also a few of the GE branches. Was too busy this summer to take advantage of it this time.
