Onboard Train Announcements - How Should they be?

I've always thought that 'arriving into' has a high speed, terminal feel to it. Like the Up Sleeper 'arrived into' Paddington on the morning of 23 November 1983...

To try and save on forgetful people causing security incidents. As part of the arriving into a station announcement it's a good idea and stems back to BR days on Intercity services.
And personally I think the old BR Intercity announcements were pretty much spot on.
So I would do on Intercity TOCs using a real person rather than an automated announcement (if possible)
"Hello I'm xxx your (whatever they call a guard) and welcome on board the xx:xx (TOC) service to (DESTINATION) we will be calling at (CALLING POINTS) and are due to arrive at (DESTINATION) at yy:yy. (OPTIONAL PART FOLLOWS) At present (DUE TO REASON) this service is running (ON TIME/XX MINUTES LATE)"
On approach to a station.
"We are now approaching (NEXT STATION), you can change here for services to (MAIN DESTINATIONS FROM NEXT STATION) if you are leaving us then please ensure you have all your belongings with you. (TOC) thanks you for travelling with us and we hope you have a safe onward journey."
On approach to destination
"We are now approaching (DESTINATION) where this service ends. Please ensure you have all your belongings with you. (TOC) thanks you for travelling with us and we hope you have a safe onward journey. All change please"
Optional announcements can be made during an incident.
