I wonder what the take-up would be if a TOC offered a "noisy" carriage in addition to a quiet carriage, with on-board entertainment or music? It could even be marketed as a reason to travel with them. I wouldn't mind a CD of some Christmas tunes playing.
It would be a nice idea for the TOC's to play music on those trains!
It was just a bit of a laugh, she wasn't a busker or asking for money, nor was she causing any trouble, so I doubt FCC are bothered.
I rarely see anything like this in the UK anyway, I went to New York earlier this year for six days and on the Subway, I came across at least a dozen beggars, buskers and preachers on board!
Well, Northern Rail have their live music trains on certain lines where they have community partnerships!
