Evening all

Today I managed to travel on a train again for the first time in 18 months on my own.

After being ill, I was not sure if or how long it would be before I could finally get on a train.
I only managed to go to Derby and back but it was so good. I managed to take a few pictures which I sent to all my family and friends at work.

Being on here kept me informed as to what was going on which was great but it was hard to join in with discussions because I missed being able to go on trains, or visiting anywhere.
Good job I had the football predictions (thanks guys).

I hope to join in the discussions more as I start to travel a bit more now.

Rail travel can be very therapeutic! Glad to hear you're getting better!

It's certainly the way I like to clear my head. Had an epic trip just on Thursday. Kilmarnock - Carlisle - Lancaster - Leeds - Preston - Carlisle - Kilmarnock. Really enjoyed the day, even took some pictures.

So yes I agree, rail travel is therapeutic. :)

On a train...somewhere!
Glad to hear you're on the mend!

As mentioned it can be nice to have a ride out alone, I had a cracking ride yesterday Loughborough - Sheffield - Manchester Picc then Manchester Vic - Castleton - Leeds - York - Northallerton :D Stunning day to ride over the Hope Valley!
