Has anyone had dealings with Transportstore.com , based in the Edinburgh area I believe? Only wondered as they are a new discovery to me (my fault, not theirs I am sure, lol), but any feedback welcome. Thanks.

Sorry no. Seems to be a one man business. The limited liability company behind it seems to have been around for more than a decade, for whatever that's worth. Any online reviews available anywhere?

I've used them a couple of times. The condition descriptions of the books were accurate and the despatch was quick both times. I'd be happy buying from them again if they've something I'm after.
I haven't used them yet, and sadly, on a perusal of their 1300_ bus books, I don't think I will either. The pricing seems to be at the expensive end of the scale compared to prices I'm used to seeing from other second-hand retailers and rallies, sometimes quite significantly so, and that's before a minimum £2.50 P&P charge.
A mid-90s timetable from Derbyshire at £10 seems well in excess of the usual rate of £2 or £3, if that, for that age of material, and likewise British Bus Publishing Handbooks at anywhere between £5 and £9 is the most expensive I've ever seen for second-hand editions... the last time I saw that sort of price at a rally was the publisher offering 50% discounts on remaindered stock. (I have a box of them in my hallway on behalf of my local Club which we struggle to shift at rallies at £1 each...).
Perhaps the most egregious examples, though, are these two: A cardboard model of a Thamesdown bus, the sort given away as freebies by the marketing team, at £10 (https://www.transportstore.com/Thamesdown-Create-Your-Own-Thamesdown-Bus-Model-Book-31386-599.cfm), and a copy of the Great British Bus Timetable, another production that doesn't seem to have any second-hand value, with a marked cover at £18 (https://www.transportstore.com/Whit...ber-2000-To-11th-June-2001-Book-37557-599.cfm).
I don't know anything about rail books, it not being my area of interest, but I hope they are better priced.

I have used Transport Store once, buying 3 items about 3 years ago. I would be happy to buy from them again, and check their website occasionally to see if they have anything that I'm looking for.

Likewise I've never heard of 'em, though they have a copy of my book going for a tenner!

Thank you all for your comments. I am one of those who appreciates the rarity/age, and hence in certain cases a premium ££ of certain books when they come on to the market. This was one such case, but hadn't had any dealings with the seller concerned, hence my question.
Suffice to say, when the book arrived it was as described, and given there were no other listings of same (anywhere that I could find) at the time I was looking, I have no regrets and am more than happy to recommend the seller.

Is this the same business that was formerly known as 'Dead Bee Books' and run by former Ardrossan bus services manager Douglas Blades? I've never ordered anything from him on-line, but have purchased several books, maps and photos at open days, model railway exhibitions, etc.

Possibly not. The West Lothian / Edinburgh based business seems to be owned by a Nicholas Shutter.

Ordered a railway history booklet from Transport Store Ltd in Livingston on Monday. Arrived today. As described, in decent condition (noting that the item was 40+ years old) and more than adequately packaged. Concur with @BlythPower's thoughts on the business. No problems.
