Very good camera. I've had a go with one before a few times, it is a good camera. The E500 (The camera I own) is also very good.

Which is what all the reviews say....

Myself on the other hand, actually has used one, and found it to be an ideal DSLR, perfect for people who are making the jump to 'big cameras'

Take it from an Olympus user valentaman, the dust reuction system is fantastic. Not a spot. The screens are brilliant too.

Ive found the Olympus DSLRs to be pretty decent. Most come in "kit" form with the 14-42mm and 40-150mm lenses. I have the E510 with these two lenses and the 70mm-300mm tele lense and the camera is pretty much spot on.

The only issue I have had is the LCD screen has packed up, but its now at Olympus under warranty repairs.

Same kit for my E500. Have you seen the 18-180mm lens? I'm sure I've seen one, not sure where though. I'm considering getting that rather than the 70-300mm.

Yeah I did look briefly at that, but its about £300 and with the two other lenses I can get nearly that range anyway....just have to change the lense every so oftern.

I'd probably just go for the 70-300 then

Olympus 3/4 cameras are neat little devices.
My dad has both the 410 and 510, but finds the 510 better handling wise as he can actually grip it properly.
The 3-point viewfinder AF isn't exactly the most impressive system (my 400D has a 9-point visible) though the 2x lens conversion factor is a boon because it reduces the overall mass of the lenses albeit having to choose lenses carefully to cater for your needs.

Still prefer my Canon 400D tho..
(Ha, a famous quote in my household when I bought the 400D was "I wanted a small but manageable camera" so imagine the questioning look from my parents when I bought the 70-200mm 2.8LIS and battery grip!)
