Olympia services (and one other thing)

Does anyone know the exact times of District line services to and from Olympia on a weekday at all please? As far as I know there is a very limited service in either the early morning or the late evening?

Taken from my earlier posting in "District to Olympia":

Timetable from 11 December:

6 passenger train departures each day M-F:
05.50 (C to ERd)
Then the description "about every 8-9 minutes" between 6am-7am is stretching it a bit, with actual departures at:
06.06 (D to HSt)
06.15 (D to HSt)
06.24 (D to HSt)
06.32 (C to ERd), with nothing then until
19.58 (D to HSt)
20.38 (D to HSt)

Just 2 passenger arrivals each day M-F:
19.48 (D ex-HSt)
20.28 (D ex-Hst)


If an Event required trains to operate M-F then only an approximate 30min service would be provided (to High Street unless annotated) at:
10.28, 10.58, 11.28, 11.58, 12.28, 12.58, 13.28, 13.58, 14.28, 14.58, 15.28, 15.58, 16.33u, 16.49, 17.23e, 17.50, 18.23e, 18.55, 19.23e, 19.58, 20.18, 20.58, 21.28, 21.58, 22.28, 23.00.
u= to Upminster
e= to Edgware Road

Some of these trips are the result of cancelling Wimbledon trains.

A slight faux-pas with the leaflet is the:

"Daily High Street Kensington to Kensington (Olympia) trains
Due to the location of a nearby depot a small number of District line train services will continue
to operate between High Street Kensington and
Kensington (Olympia), via Earl’s Court, at the
following times daily:"

Unfortunately, the first passenger train on Sundays is at 07.35 .

I am plotting a run around London on April 5th (roughly) and intend to clear all stretches of TfL lines that I have not yet used. My definition of this is that lines are counted where either (a) they are next to lines run by the same umbrella brand (i.e. LUL, NR, etc), or (b) they use the same track (e.g. Rickmansworth etc). This means that Amersham is counted, even though I have never done it on the Met, and Chiswick Park counts, even though I think I have only done that area on the Piccadilly, but Upminster to Barking does not.

Might I ask one other question? Does anyone know the times of the Rickmansworth to Watford services? This may be asking too much for me to do from Southend, but it's worth a try! Thank you

I do believe it is the first Chesham train of the day, runs to Watford

Do you want the (NR) curve between the District line and the Windsor lines at East Putney? That's a funny one (Desiros running off fourth rail).

I always understood that rather than NR trains running off the fourth rail, Underground trains are set up to run off the third rail on sections where both LU and NR stock shares that type of track - am I wrong?

Sort of. It's a hybrid of the two. 3rd rail trains use a running rail and earth as part of the circuit (OHL does as well in fact). On the shared LU/NR sections, the fourth rail is electrically bonded to the current return rail at regular intervals, and hence is at 0V rather than the usual -210V, and the 3rd rail will be at 660V as a compromise- slightly higher than usual for LU (totals 630V normally) and slightly under for NR (nominally 750V)
